Halloween in London – Best Trick or Treating, Spooky Decorations & Instagrammable Places

by | Oct 25, 2023 | Blog, London, Naked Feature

Whoop it is almost Halloween! Halloween in London is so special. Every year the most spectacular houses and beautiful shops are decorated with skeletons, ghosts, spiders and witches for this super spooky season. From Kensington to Chelsea houses to restaurants and cafes. Here’s the best Halloween places for Trick or Treating, Spooky Decorations & Instagrammable Places in London.

Halloween in London – Peggy Porschen Pink Parlour

One of my favourite streets for Halloween is Elizabeth Street in Belgravia, London. This is always one of my top places for Instagrammable hot spots because this is the home of the pink parlour perfection that is Peggy Porschen cake shop. Over the years they have added a spooky feel to their cafe with huge mushrooms on the outside and pastel coloured skeletons.

Belgravia in general is very Halloween friendly so check out Bayley & Sage, the beautiful florist Moyses Stevens, Tom Tom Cafe on the corner and Joanna Wood where there is often a lovely autumnal display. Top tip from me, have a wander around the side streets as residents have always embraced the spooky season and gone heavy on the Halloween decorations.

Halloween in London – Neill Strain on Motcomb Street and West Halkin Street

Motcomb Street is a hop, skip and a jump away from Elizabeth Street so well worth heading over after you’ve had a look at the displays there. Neill Strain, the luxury florist who also created the beautiful heart shaped arch for Valentine’s Day, absolutely nails luxury Halloween with this pumkin arch. You’ll also find a glorious graveyard spilling out of a red phone box on the next street. I’d go as far as to say, they’re unmissable!

Halloween in Kensington

Kensington and Holland Park have the biggest, most Instagrammable houses in London so it is a great place to head to see the most EXTRA decorations in town. You’ll probably have seen the huge white houses with standout spooky decorations. Think of the Beckham’s ultra snazzy Halloween black and white porch. We’re talking life-size witches on broomsticks, huge skeletons surrounding doors, scary clowns welcoming you in, severed hands, spooky ghosts hanging from trees and spiders the size of bin lids. Head to Kensington Square and Victoria Road for the extra special displays.

Halloween in Holland Park, London

Holland Park has my dream houses with the widest, most beautiful tree lined streets and every house has a gorgeous porch to match, This is a stunning area to walk round at any time of year but autumn is really special with amber and russet coloured leaves falling to the ground. Here you’ll find bright white houses with monochrome details and spookily decorated front porches. I’d like to come in for the party, please. Dream streets are called Holland Park, funnily enough, just next to Holland Park!

Halloween in Notting Hill, London

Notting Hill is a brilliant place to roam around to look at Halloween displays and decorations. I adore the areas around Westbourne Grove and Portobello to take in the spooky vibes.  Head to Biscuiteers and the Notting Hill Bookshop for Instagrammable displays. Take a trip down the back streets for some of the best decorations in the city.

Halloween in Soho at Dalloway Terrace

Dalloway Terrace always goes ALL OUT with decorations all year round making it a prime place for lunch and afternoon tea if you’re in the area. The autumnal vibes are just gorgeous for photos so enjoy luxury coffee with a leafy backdrop. Stunning.

Halloween in Covent Garden, London

Covent Garden is always a joy all year round. There’s always plenty of flowers, lots of smaller stores and loads of character. This leafy arch was a few years ago, but I can always count on Covent Garden for seasonal fun!

Halloween in Kings’s Road and Chelsea, London

King’s Road has had epic displays over the years like the year The Ivy was covered with autumnal flowers. The whole of King’s Road is a great place to hunt for Halloween decorations and there’s always cute little side streets (including a super pastel one). My top tips are to check out Partridges with their autumnal arch at the front of the store and Peggy Porschen as they have a second store on this street.

Halloween in Knightsbridge

Knightsbridge has soooo many historic buildings that it is a pleasure to walk around any time of the year. Spooky displays can be found on the back streets if you head off the beaten track.

Halloween in Mayfair

Central London and Mayfair are already gearing up for Christmas so Halloween is never quite as big as I would like it to be! In the past I’ve seen lovely window displays from Fortnum & Mason and the luxury department stores. You can happily roam round the streets taking in the autumnal vibes, but head to Hedonism Wines who always have a spooky display and I always love the floral delights of Wild Things Flowers. Annabel’s on Berkeley Square often goes all out for Halloween so worth trotting past to check!
