Pink IS so hot right now thanks to Margot Robbie and the new Barbie movie. In classic Barbie fashion, she has a full wardrobe full of high octane looks with pastel pink, hot pink and shall we say, Barbie pink leading the way. I’ve always been a fan of pink in fashion. Pale pink is lovely for teaming with denim or neutral shades to look super chic. Mid pink shades can range from glorious dusky hues to fresh rose colours. Or you can amp it up with neon shades or hot fuchsia pinks, think Barbie, think Paris Hilton, that’s hot.
Here’s my pink-spiration and my favourite ways to wear pink:
Pink Jacket and Jeans
If I had £1 for every time I’d worn this pink Zara Jacket, I’d be a zillionaire. This pretty soft neon pink jacket with sharp Balmain inspired shoulder pads and gold buttons goes perfectly with a pair of skinny jeans. I’ve worn it with blue or skinnies and either a Valentino Rockstud Pointed Heel or these suede court shoes from Gianvitto Rossi. I’ve finished this look with my classic YSL Bag and I love ordering a Chai Latte from Blend Coffee Shop on Kensington Church Street.
Pink knit combo
I fell in love with this knitted dress and jumper from And Other Stories but it was the cream boots and pink shades that really finished it off! The cream boots were from Topshop when I was at university…so they are vintage now I guess! My necklaces are Monica Vinader the cute pink bucket bag from Gucci fits LOADS in and I love it. The gorgeous blue hyacinths were from Kensington Flower Corner.
Pink maxi dress
If it was Barbie’s birthday, she’s be in this dress! A pale pink floor length number. It is a yes from me! I adore this sugary pink number from Needle & Thread worn with balloons optional! Hope you like my Barbie inspired pastel backdrop!
Power Pink Coat
I found this gorgeous long wool Penelope Pitstop pink coat from Harris Wharf in the sale and have worn it non-stop all year! The slightly oversize, boxy shape ensures that it goes over everything including bulky jumpers or thinner jackets. If I could, I’d have a coat like this in every colour. The top I’m wearing is a lilac cashmere jumper from Cos with a black leather skirt from And Other Stories, Jimmy Choo heels and Chanel black handbag. This gorgeous bunch of blooms was from a flower arranging class run by London super florist Wild At Heart.
Pink Maxi Dress
God love Zara for this super easy pink maxi dress which I’ve worn (and washed) at least a thousand times. This shoot was actually in Dubai but I have worn this dress in Santorini, in London, basically everywhere! I’ve teamed it with my Valentino Rockstud White Sandals and I also love this dress with pale pink flat sandals.
