Free London Flower Festival – Best displays for Chelsea in Bloom & Belgravia in Bloom 2024

by | May 19, 2024 | Blog, London

I’m pretty excited to say that Chelsea in Bloom has officially started as I spotted my first floral display yesterday at London’s Egerton Hotel. Every year the surrounding areas of Chelsea and Belgravia dress up their shops, cafes, and bars with floral themes to create the most spectacular buzz. They are super Instagrammable and perfect for fashion photos.

I love to round up my favourite displays, usually the prettiest with plenty of roses and spring flowers. If you’d like an idea of what to expect you can visit my old blogs here: Chelsea and Belgravia in Bloom 2018 here, Chelsea and Belgravia in Bloom 2019 here, Belgravia in Bloom 2023 here, Chelsea in Bloom 2023 here.

Introduction – what to expect

It is a fantastic way to get involved in RHS Chelsea Flower Show atmosphere but without having to buy a ticket. It is totally free to wander the streets and see all the creativity of the participants.

Chelsea and Belgravia have taken a very famous local event which attracts thousands and built it into a whole piece of interactive marketing to keep people exploring the area. There’s maps, themes, special drinks, offers, and even tours.

Dates: Chelsea in Bloom and Belgravia in Bloom will be from 20 – 26 May.

The themes for this year: Chelsea in Bloom theme is Floral Feasts (one for foodies). Belgravia in Bloom theme is Floral Fun and Games

My ideal route:

As for me, I start at Sloane Square / Sloane Street, Pavilion Road, Kings Road then Duke of York Square…pit stop…Elizabeth Street, Eccleston Yard, Motcomb Street the end.
